What is Imposter Word Game?

Imposter Word Game is a free party game for friends and family. Everyone sits together and passes one phone. Each player sees the same secret word, except one Imposter, who has to bluff. Players give a 1-word clue, vote, and then the Imposter gets one chance to name the word.

How to play Imposter Word Game

  1. Create a game and add 3 to 15 player names.
  2. Choose Random category, or pick Food, Animals, Places, School, Sports, Home, Nature, Jobs, Travel, or Festival.
  3. Pass the phone. Each player sees a secret word. One Imposter sees no word.
  4. Take turns giving a 1-word clue. Do not say the secret word.
  5. Vote for who you think is the Imposter.
  6. If the group catches the Imposter, that player gets one guess at the word.
